The Personality of The Holy Spirit

This is a brief outline that you can use to study or to develope your own Bible Study.

1. He creates and gives life – Job 33:4 (590) & Genesis 2:7
    Breath means: Divine Inspiration, wind, intellect (Hebrew)
    In the New Testament – II Timothy 3:16 – inspiration = Divinely breathed
    Acts 2:2 – Day of Pentecost – a rushing, mighty, wind.

2. He appoints and commissions ministers – Isaiah 48:16 (756) –
    Acts 13:2 – Acts 20:28

3. He directs ministers where to preach – Acts 8:29 – Acts 10:19, 20

4. He directs ministers where not to preach – Acts 16:6-7 
    Forbidden = prevent, hinder. Why? God had a plan for them: Vs 8-14

5. He instructs ministers what to preach – I Corinthians 2:13
    There is a Revelation – I Corinthians 2:10
     Illumination – I Corinthians 2:12
     and Inspiration – I Corinthians 2:13

6. He strives with sinners – Genesis 6:3 – I Peter 3:19-20

7. He reproves – John 16:8 – admonish:–convict, convince, tell a fault,
    rebuke, reprove.

8. He comforts – Acts 9:31 – Comfort = to console

9. He helps our infirmities – Romans 8:26
    helpeth = cooperate, assist – take hold of the opposite together
    “itself” = a Greek particle of the third person through the idea of a
    baffling wind.
    Intercession = in behalf of
    Groanings = sighs

10. He guides – John 16:13 = to show you the way
      He will show you = declare; report; speak

The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the trinity. He is God
